Dr. Merdan Fayda, MD, Professor of Radiation Oncology

Dr. Merdan Fayda is a radiation oncologist in Liv Hospital, Turkey with 19 years of experience in radio-oncology. He graduated from University of Istanbul / Faculty of medicine in 1999 and then obtained a post – graduate degree in Radiation Oncology from Istanbul University Institute of Oncology in 2004. He then continued his studies in radiosurgery at the University of North Carolina (USA). Since 2012, the Professor has practiced at the Cancer Institute in Istanbul, and is currently part of the Liv Hospital, the largest healthcare network in Turkey.

He conducts many high end procedures such as 4D-radiotherapy, IG -IMRT (Image Guided High-Precision Irradiation of Tumors), Stereotactic Radiotherapy, 3D Brachytherapy and 4D HDR Real-Time Trus Based Prostate Brachytherapy

Dr. Merdan Fayda participated in 16 international conferences. The Prof. is an author of 11 scientific papers in Turkish editions and 25 in international publications.

He is currently a member of Turkish Society for Radiation Oncology (TROD); American Society for Radiation Oncology; European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO); and American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)
